Neighbors were obviously devastated that the fire took place on a sunny Mother's Day afternoon.
Video from neighbors shows just how intense the flames were coming out of the first floor and then traveling up, causing damage to the second floor. CBS2's Kristie Keleshian reports.
It happened just before midnight on White Plains Road near East 241st Street in Wakefield.
Residents in 54 units of the 104-unit building have been displaced.
