David Albert Mitchell, 42, has been charged with rape, criminal sex act, sexual assault, robbery and assault in connection with Wednesday's attack.
Jackie Barcliff allegedly forced the victim to the elevated level of Pier 15 park near the East River, raped her, and tossed her over the railing to the ground below, police said.
The victim was shaking and crying as she spoke in the Nassau County courtroom during the sentencing hearing, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said 23-year-old Jason Quinones will also serve ten years of post-released supervision. Quinones pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
