Well, 2011 is coming to an end. A lot has happened over this past year…and it might be well to look back and reflect on a few things. So, in no particular order, here are just a few "significant" events which occurred during this past baseball season:

Darvish, we hardly knew Yu. The Yankees, as expected, won't be negotiating with Japanese sensation Yu Darvish.
The Ham Fighters will announce the winner of the Yu Darvish sweepstakes Tuesday morning, Japan time, the pitcher's agent tweeted on Monday.
The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters of Japan's Pacific League have until Tuesday to accept a bid from a major league team for pitcher Yu Darvish.
These are Hal Steinbrenner's Yankees, and it means less seat-of-the-pants spending.
