Even though the opponent and venue figure to be difficult to deal with, Eli Manning is actually happy his Giants play again on Thursday. Then again, when you are 0-5 beggars really can't be choosers.
Ignoring the ignorant cackling from Twitter trolls, and other anonymous hacks sniping from the comfort of their cubicles or hiding behind handles in grandma's basement, it's obvious the Giants aren't anemic under center or the headset.
At 0-5 and with their season looking more and more like a train wreck with each passing day, the Giants are drawing the ire of their fans and are becoming the butt of certain jokes usually reserved for the Jets.
It was another week, another late-game meltdown and another loss.
"(It's) embarrassing, ridiculous, infuriating, frustrating -- whatever you want to say," Francesa said. "It's as bad as it could possibly be. It's not even worth saying the season's over. Everybody knows the season's over.
Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles tossed two fourth quarter touchdown passes, as Philadelphia rallied to hand the New York Giants their fifth straight defeat to start the season. With the win, Philadelphia climbed into a first place tie with the Dallas Cowboys, who lost at home to the Denver Broncos. Both Dallas and Philadelphia are 2-3 on the season.

Even if the Giants QB straightens himself out by Thursday's game in Chicago -- another likely loss for 0-6 -- it will be far too little, way too late. Like the cops at a crime scene say, "Go home, folks, nothing to see here."
