Good evening! We made it back into the 40s today in NYC, and that trend will continue over the next several days. High pressure keeps us clear once again tonight with lows in the upper 20s in the city to the teens in the suburbs. Expect temperatures around 30 out-the-door tomorrow morning.
A few more clouds tomorrow, but still plenty of sun. We'll reach the mid 40s, so it will be feeling quite nice compared to how we started the work week. Clouds increase on Friday with a slight chance of showers overnight and into Saturday. The latest trends have been drier, but still need to keep a chance in there with the low-level moisture and cloud cover.
Saturday night into Sunday looks like a pretty decent soaking, so you'll want the umbrella if you're headed out Sunday morning. The trade-off is temperatures will be soaring-- going up to 54 in the city, but it's possible that we get a little higher if the latest trend continues. For comparison, the Central Park record for that day is 60 set way back in 1876! It's very likely some locations will be in record territory once again.
So where's the cold? It'll be making a return next week as we get another shot of arctic air and drop back into the 30s. The mid-January patten is looking like a better set-up for winter weather around here, so you'll want to stay tuned. Have a good one and check back in soon for the latest!
