Time Out New York Kids: Music, EcoCruises And More

NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Time Out New York Kids has some great ideas for your family this weekend.

Description: This multi-talented cast of musically inclined aliens combines singing, comedy and beat boxing-all sans traditional instruments. Kids can clap along as the otherworldly performers use music to refuel their spaceship. Ages 4 and up.

Description: The one hour family friendly adaptation of Alice in Wonderland features a cast of ten actors playing all of Lewis Carroll's beloved characters. The heroine in the blue dress follows a mime into an elevator to a strange new world where she meets two little runts with very sticky fingers, a very naughty queen and a deck of characters that seem familiar and new at the same time. Ages 4 and up.

Description: During this trip up the East River, an Audubon naturalist gives voyagers an overview of New York City's natural history as they travel to the uninhabited Brothers Islands in Long Island Sound. From the catamaran, kids will glimpse some of the migratory bird species that nest and breed here-among them egrets, black-crowned night herons, ibises and cormorants. Ages 4 and up.
