Police: U-Haul Truck Driver In Fatal Tailgating Tragedy Passed Sobriety Test
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Police have ruled out alcohol as a factor in Saturday's tailgating tragedy at Yale.
Police announced Sunday that driver Brandon Ross, who was behind the wheel of a U-Haul truck that plowed into a crowd at the Harvard-Yale football game, passed a sobriety test.
Of the three women injured in the collision, 30-year-old Nancy Barry of Salem, Massachusetts died in the collision, and one other remains hospitalized.
Investigators are examining the truck for defects.
