11/8 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

What a lovely Sunday afternoon we have shaping up, folks! Blue skies and northwest winds will make for a perfect fall day. It'll be on the cool side, but seasonably so, with high temperatures in the middle 50s around NYC, upper 40s for the north/west 'burbs.

Afternoon Highs
It'll be a cold night ahead with clear skies and winds easing off ... so temps should tumble again into the low 30s to low 40s. You'll definitely wanna layer up heading to work or school early tomorrow. Plenty of sun through the daylight hours with a high in the upper 50s ... but clouds move in after dark ahead of a needed rainmaker.

Simply put, Tuesday looks like a soggy day. A low pressure system will slide up the coast and provide 1-2" of rain through the day. Not just that, but it'll be breezy, too -- winds from the northeast make for a chilly rain. Temps Tuesday only reach the mid/upper 50s, but it'll feel cooler. We'll wrap up the rain before daybreak Veterans Day with partial clearing and temps in the low 60s.

Afternoon 7 Day
Check back soon for the latest on the rain, and have a great day!
