2 teenagers shot in Newark, police say
NEWARK, N.J. -- Two teenagers were shot in Newark on Thursday, police say.
It happened just before 3 p.m. at South 11th Street and South Orange Avenue.
Police say a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be OK.
The shooting happened down the block from West Side High School, although there is no confirmation that the teenagers were students there.
It's unknown what led up to the shooting.
