Fire Breaks Out In Kitchen At TRYP By Wyndham Hotel In Midtown
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A fire broke out Wednesday night in a kitchen on the first floor of the TRYP by Wyndham hotel in the Theater District.
Firefighters were called just after 9 p.m. to the 16-story hotel at 234 W. 48th St., the FDNY told CBS2.
The fire was on the first floor, and was brought under control by 9:35 p.m., the FDNY said.
The second floor of hotel was evacuated, officials said.
One person suffered a minor injury, officials said.
Police closed 48th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue while firefighters were battling the blaze.
