Pastis is the cute French bistro every neighborhood should have: with all the usual suspects on the menu like onion soup gratinee, moules frites, steak frites, croque messieurs and mesdames - yes, the list goes on - with very reasonable prices, there's no reason you shouldn't dine here every day of the week. At the least, work your way through the daily special menu; Monday's special is rabbit pappardelle, while Thursday's special is lobster ravioli. The menu will keep you busy and satisfied any day of the week!
Ciano

While Ciano's mission to create wonderful meals using what's in season at the market is executed flawlessly, one of the true beauties of lunch at Ciano is the Summer Lunch Market Menu offered for $20.11. A three course prix fixe menu based on 'local farm harvesting schedules' so they can use the freshest ingredients, the Summer Lunch Market Menu is a fantastic deal: pick two savory courses and one sweet. Items change frequently, but recently featured yellow tomato gazpacho, savory crepes with ricotta & spinach, and a sandwich with shaved apple, fennel, and sweet & sour peppers. Your choice of strawberry sorbet, affogato or panna cotta with blueberry compote finished that excellent menu... check the website for more information!
Abigail Cafe
807 Classon Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11238

A rather eclectic and delicious menu at Abigail prevents palate fatigue. Try the smoked mac'n'cheese for $9, or the red wine braised oxtail... both delicious options. A wide range of sandwiches bless the menu with their presence, including a fantastic chicken BLT & gruyere panino; there's even a daily special that, for $10, gets you a cup of soup and a half sandwich or salad. Hungrier than that? Check out the $15 three course lunch prix fixe, available Monday - Friday from 10am to 5pm.
