Child Seriously Hurt After Getting Hit By Ambulance In East Harlem

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A child was seriously injured after getting hit by an ambulance in East Harlem on Saturday afternoon.

Police say the 9-year-old boy was on a mini bike when he was struck near the intersection of 100th Street and 1st Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

It's not clear whether the ambulance was responding to a call.

He was rushed to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center with injuries including a fractured pelvis and broken leg, along with possible internal bleeding.
