Jerry "Rello" Recco began his first update the same way Boomer & Craig opened-up today's radio program, by talking about the Mets and their 7-3 over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dillon Gee earned the win and improved to 5-0 by striking out 8 in his 7 innings of work. Considering the Mets got the win and their young pitcher had another solid outing, you might think the fact that Jason Bay sat out would go unnoticed -- but Craigie noticed and therefore addressed his absence.
The Yankees got a complete game shutout from their 38-year-old starter, as Bartolo Colon was mowing them down in Oakland. We heard John Sterling's call of Mark Teixeira's 1st inning 2-run homer, as well as some post game reaction from Derek Jeter, Joe Girardi and Colon himself.
The NBA Finals will get underway tonight in Miami as the Mavericks and the Heat continue their quest to bring home an NBA title. Craig is not alone in rooting hard for the Mavs (or rooting hard against the hated Heat)...
