B&C Morning Show: Thanks To Mets And Yankees, Big Apple Is Baseball Central
With the Yankees and the Mets both playing great baseball, Craig was not going out too far on a limb when he declared New York to be "Baseball Central."
The Yankees beat the Brewers 5-2 in the Bronx last night, the Bombers' 4th straight win (14th in their last 18). That combined with the Red Sox's 2-1 loss in Philly (Holla!!!) gives the Yanks a 2.5 game lead in the AL East. The Yankees will finish up their series with Milwaukee this afternoon in the Bronx before heading across town to take on the Mets at Citi Field this weekend.
Speaking of the Mets, they have scored 52 runs in their last 4 games (all wins) and will look to complete the series sweep over the Tigers this afternoon in Detroit with their "ace" Mike Pelfrey on the mound.
Regardless of what happens this afternoon on the diamond, the anticipation for this weekend's Subway Series is building by the moment and Boomer & Craig are all fired-up for the showdown...
