B&C Morning Show: Costly Win For Giants, Sickening Loss For Mets, Boomer On Twitter
Jerry "Rello" Recco came into the studio for his first update of the morning and there was plenty to discuss, even with the Yankees' off day on Monday.
The Giants beat up on the Bears in their Monday night preseason matchup by a score of 41-13. But with the win, starting CB Terrell Thomas was lost for the season to a torn ACL. Tom Coughlin addressed the notion that he was playing his starters too much for a preseason game.
Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the Mets were completely embarrassed in a 10-0 loss to Cliff Lee and the Phillies. But the humiliation wasn't confined to the box score. Angel Pagan nearly missed an at-bat because he was sick to his stomach... presumably from the way the Mets have been playing lately.
In other news, the Raiders selected Terrelle Pryor in the third round of the NFL Supplemental Draft and the Browns gave Joe Thomas a shiny new contract.
Also, it is revealed that Boomer Esiason has started his very own Twitter account (@7BOOMERESIASON). Craig predicts how long it will take before Booms has more followers than him.
