Dallas Cowboys 2026 NFL season lineup so far includes Game 1 vs Giants, Thanksgiving vs Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys will face off against an old rival to kick off the 2026 NFL season.

The NFL announced Monday morning that America's Team will head to New Jersey to take on the New York Giants on Sunday night, Sept. 13 at 7:20 p.m.

With Giants QB Jaxson Dart entering his second year in the league, paired with playmakers like WR Malik Nabors and RB Cam Skattebo who missed time due to injury last season, the game will be an early test for the Cowboys' revamped defense under new coordinator Christian Parker.

The Giants will also be looking to come out strong under their new coach John Harbaugh, who they signed after the Baltimore Ravens decided to let him go after last season.

The Week 1 game is the Cowboys' second to be announced for the 2026 season; The Cowboys will face the Ravens in Week 3 in the first-ever NFL game in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

The team also announced who they will be facing for their Week 12, Thanksgiving home game. The Philadelphia Eagles will visit AT&T Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 26, at 3:30 p.m. CT.

It will be the third time the Eagles and Cowboys will play on Thanksgiving, and the first since 2014.

The 2026 season will mark the 59th time Dallas has played on Thanksgiving, an ongoing tradition for "America's Team". Another notable event for the Cowboys' Thanksgiving traditions includes the Red Kettle Kickoff

The annual launch of the Red Kettle Campaign raises awareness for The Salvation Army's holiday efforts. Artists like Reba McEntire, Destiny's Child, Carrie Underwood, The Jonas Brothers, Kenny Chesney, Selena Gomez, and more have entertained during the game's halftime performance.

Players have also used the red kettle in the end zone as part of their scoring celebrations. In 2022, Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson and several other players celebrated in the kettle during 2022's Thanksgiving Day win over the Giants.

The NFL's full 2026 schedule will be released on Thursday.
