Brooklyn bruiser

Tension and acrimony between Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Democratic rival Hillary Clinton has increased in parallel with national support for Sanders, which has translated into a string of recent primary wins. By the time they met for their ninth debate in New York, both were ready to go on the attack.

Exchange of fire

The Democratic candidates didn't get through the first hour of last night's debate without clashing over a topic that's dominated many of the headlines in the New York primary race: gun control. Hillary Clinton again attacked Bernie Sanders over his past votes against certain gun control measures.

Tiny survivor

At least nine people have been killed and dozens more injured by a powerful nighttime earthquake in southern Japan. As rescuers continue to sift through the rubble of homes razed by the temblor, there is a happy story to tell about an infantfound buried under the mess.

School punishment

We find out why a Georgia mom, who secretly recorded her 5-year-old son being held down and threatened with a wooden paddle, now says she regrets granting school administrators that permission.

Living tribute

Today marks three years since two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, claiming three lives and shattering many more. Of the many tributes since then, one stands out as the most colorful, and it runs all along the race route, from start to finish.

Detox truth

Thousands of practitioners will tell you the ancient art of yoga releases worrisome toxins from the body, so we asked a doctor to explain what a good yoga workout really does (and doesn't) do for you, and what it really means to "detox" your body.
