And 250 people came together Monday night up on the Iron Range to give Adam Johnson a final farewell, while police in the United Kingdom announced they are now investigating his freak death that happened during a pro hockey game.
Officials in England are also now requiring all players in the country wear neck guards after the 29-year-old's death.
They are selling quickly at local hockey retailers.
More players are buying neck guards that could help protect themselves.
