The crash was reported at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday on Hillcrest at Duesenberg drives. When officers arrived, they found the driver with a knife, Ventura County sheriff's Sgt. Eric Buschow said.
The woman, reportedly between 25 and 30 years old, had been shot at least once in the lower leg. She was taken to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
Police reported that at about noon, two vehicles crashed at the intersection of La Cienega and Venice boulevards, before two masked suspects got out of one vehicle and broke the windows of the other.
A woman was fatally shot in Carson, and sheriff's homicide detectives named her husband as a person of interest.
The other three people, which included a second juvenile, were also hospitalized and listed in stable condition, authorities said.
A person of interest was detained at the scene.
