Police say riders have been trespassing in MDOT work zones, including areas associated with the Restore I-94 project, where large dirt and aggregate piles have been used as obstacle courses.
A teenager is dead and another is critically hurt after an all-terrain vehicle they were riding crashed into the side of an SUV in Summerfield Township, Michigan, early Saturday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Troopers say none of the occupants were wearing a seatbelt.
Even with concerns from council members, the ordinance passed by a 4-3 vote.
