The robberies happened during the 1 p.m. hour in the Avondale, Belmont Gardens, Belmont Cragin, Austin, and Humboldt Park neighborhoods.
After moving ahead in tournaments and clinching a recent district game, the New Life Centers little league team, unfortunately, lost in the championship game Wednesday night.
They say they are understaffed and that creates unsafe conditions.

For weeks now, a group of volunteers has been cleaning out the basements of those affected by flooding on Chicago's West Side. Almost a month since the flooding, mold is growing. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
"Nobody hears that they were sexually abused by that individual for years. That they were sex trafficked by that individual for years, or that they were bought by that individual when they were a child."

Police said three men armed with handguns would exit out of a vehicle, approach victims, and demand their personal property – including wallets, cash, and phones.

A witness told police that the victim was crossing the street when he was shot by multiple suspects who then fled on foot.

According to a passenger, he and the driver were heading south down this alley when they heard gunshots and started to reverse.
The passenger from the car says the driver reversed after hearing gunshots, hit a pole, and the vehicle caught fire.
