He was charged with three felony counts of armed robbery with a firearm and three other felony counts of home invasion with a firearm, vehicular hijacking, and kidnapping while armed with a firearm.
Chicago police said a person approached on foot and damaged the business's front door, entered, and took property from within before fleeing in an unknown direction.
At least five people were seen exiting a white truck and breaking the glass to the front door.
The family of Francisca Renteria said she was found deceased Wednesday.

Police said Jermaine Allen, 24, has been charged with three felony counts of attempted murder among charges of aggravated battery. Shardaa Gray reports.
