One man was sitting in the lobby, and another man was walking on the sidewalk outside, when three men walked up and started shooting.
Just steps away from the scene of the robbery attempt, a vehicle burst into flames.
The shooting happened around 9:41 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Kedzie Avenue.
The shooting happened just before 5:30 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Greenwood Avenue.
Burgos, 18, died in 2014 after someone fired shots into an apartment in Belmont Cragin while she was standing in the kitchen. Since the murder, police haven't named a suspect or arrested anyone.
Police said just before 12:30 a.m., officers were investigating a call of an aggravated assault and a person with a gun inside a business in the 3900 block of South Kedzie Avenue.
Officers attempted to disarm the suspect when he fired his weapon, police said.
Chicago police said the victims were discovered on the sidewalk and inside a residence, but It is not clear where the shooting happened.
A gun was recovered at the scene. A person of interest was also taken into custody, police said.
