Antonio Diggines, of Calumet City, was charged in connection with the murder of Naveen Singh, 52, police said.
A 27-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a liquor store owner in Chicago's south suburbs on Monday. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the charge against Antonio Diggines, of Calumet City, on Wednesday.
Emonte Morgan was convicted of first-degree murder for killing Officer French in 2021 during a traffic stop. He’s also convicted of trying to kill her partner, Carlos Yanez Jr.
Police say she was shot and killed during a fight with a fellow student in August.
It happened around 11:15 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Vincennes Avenue.
