Hundreds of people gathered at the Barrington Campus Life Center to remember 17-year-old Marin Lacson.
Late Thursday, balloons marked the spot where Marin Lacson, 17, died after she was hit by the second of two passing trains.

Metra confirmed a person was struck by an inbound UP-NW train near Barrington around 7:45 a.m. The Lake County Coroner's office confirmed the person died, but the victim's age and gender were not immediately available.
The pedestrian was confirmed to be a student at Barrington High School, according to a statement from District 220 Superintendent Dr. Craig Winelman.
Metra said an inbound Rock Island train hit the woman around 7:15 p.m. near 99th Street and Vincennes Avenue.
Extensive delays are anticipated.
New racks will be attached to trains to make room for more bikes.
Metra riders might see more bicycles on trains. The rail system is making a COVID-era policy that allows bikes on all trains permanent.
