The boys, 16 and 17, were arrested minutes apart Saturday afternoon in the 2700 block of North Leavitt Street and 1900 block of West Diversey Parkway.
The teen was arrested Friday in the 1400 block of North Washtenaw Avenue.
The boy was arrested on Wednesday in the 3000 block of 15th Street in Rockford, Illinois. He was charged with one felony count of first-degree murder.
