Vaca Hernandez, of Burbank, was arrested at a Chicago home on Friday of last week.
As heard on scanner audio, "The mother of the child was killed while she was holding the baby, and they apparently didn't realize the baby was shot at the time."
A man believed to be the suspected gunman in the shooting, who was involved with one of the two women, was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. CBS 2's Marybel Gonzalez reports.
Upon arriving at the house where the shooting happened, officers were met with a chaotic scene – with 14 people in one house, including men, women, and several children. CBS 2's Tara Molina reports.
