The woman, identified as Cyra Magby, was shot in the back, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a Volkswagen Jetta in the 5400 block of South Halsted Street.
Bullets came flying through the 34-year-old woman's second floor window.
A 15-year-old boy was struck in the arm when someone in the area fired shots.
The teen was walking in the alley in the 4700 block of South Seeley Avenue when someone in the area fired shots – striking him in the arm, police say.
Dante Jeffries was convicted of five counts of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated kidnapping, four counts of armed robbery, one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
