7 In 10 Say They've Had Lunch Stolen At Work
QUINCY (CBS) – Use the office fridge at your own risk.
A new survey from grocery delivery service Peapod.com found that 71 percent of people have had their snack, drink or meal swiped from a shared workplace refrigerator or kitchen.
Meanwhile, only about 35 percent fess up to stealing food at work that wasn't theirs.
Peapod says millennials are most at risk for theft, and 48 percent say they have retaliated by grabbing someone else's lunch
Lunch thievery seems to be more common in urban areas, where nearly 40 percent more workers say they've been stealing food. And men are nearly twice as likely as women to be taking someone else's meal, Peapod discovered.
One possible solution might be more free snacks from the bosses. Two-thirds of millennials surveyed said they'd take a job if it had better perks, including free snacks.
