First Alert Weather Day: rain to impact DFW Tuesday morning commute
Rain is expected to move into North Texas overnight, with a steady morning shower likely to impact the Tuesday morning commute and school drop-off before tapering off into the afternoon.
CBS News Texas has issued a First Alert Weather Day for Tuesday because the rain is expected to be disruptive to the morning commute.
We are not expecting severe weather, just some rumbles of thunder and occasional heavy rain. Most of the time, it'll be a steady light rain that will give all our spring plants a good soaking.
Later in the week, an active dry line could produce strong to severe storms that will threaten the metroplex.
We'll be on watch from Friday and across the weekend for powerful storms moving into our area from the west at the close of the day or in the evening
