A Fort Worth firefighter is recovering at home after being released from the hospital following a massive warehouse fire in north Fort Worth. The blaze broke out at a facility on Terminal Road and quickly engulfed the building, which was filled with highly flammable recyclables like cardboard and plastic. Fire crews spent the morning battling the flames but were able to evacuate all workers safely before the structure became fully engulfed.
Denton police say they’ve arrested Jeremiah Devereaux in connection with a series of incidents involving women’s restrooms and locker rooms. Detectives have linked him to at least three cases, including entering a women’s locker room at a gym on Jan. 31 and exposing himself to a woman in a bathroom on the UNT campus the day before. Police also noted he was arrested last year after allegedly following a woman into a bathroom stall at TWU. A witness is speaking out after a road‑rage confrontation in Irving turned deadly, leaving a 33‑year‑old man dead. Marie Ortiz, who works near the intersection of Finley Road and Belt Line Road, said she heard seven or eight gunshots and then saw first responders pull the victim from his car and try to resuscitate him. Police say the shooting happened two days earlier during a road‑rage encounter, and CBS News Texas obtained video from moments after the gunfire. The investigation is ongoing.
Federal authorities have arrested a Dallas man accused of shooting an armored‑truck guard during a robbery in Balch Springs. Investigators say Le’Royce Antoine Lambert approached a guard who was servicing drive‑up ATMs at a Chase Bank on Lake June Road, demanded cash, and then opened fire, critically injuring him. Lambert is now in federal custody and charged with attempted interference with commerce by robbery. People in the community told CBS News Texas they’re relieved an arrest has been made as the FBI continues to investigate the attack.
