Stephanie Douglas

Stephanie Douglas joined the WJZ family in August 2025 as a morning reporter.

Stephanie is no stranger to Baltimore. She is a Maryland native who's deeply passionate about journalism and knows how to skillfully execute her stories with urgency, empathy and most importantly, depth.

Stephanie mastered her talents after earning her bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism from the National Treasure Morgan State University (Go Bears!)

Before returning home to Charm City, Stephanie came from the Bluff City at WMC Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. There, she worked every shift covering stories mostly as a "one-woman band."

While in Memphis, she reported on numerous breaking news events and nationally significant stories, including the death of Tyre Nichols in 2023. She was also a part of her former station's Emmy-nominated news coverage of a man who was driving around the city, randomly shooting at people, and streaming the incidents on Facebook Live in 2022.

Prior to that, Stephanie worked in West Texas at KOSA CBS 7 News in Odessa and started her reporting career at WBKB 11 News in Alpena, MI, where she continued to cover impactful stories.

A proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Stephanie's mission is to continue her journalism journey here at WJZ by informing, inspiring, and uplifting her community through storytelling every day.

If you see Stephanie out and about, feel free to say hi! Have a story idea? She would love to hear from you.
