Jake Gadon is the newest sports MSJ to join the CBS News Miami sports team.
Jake joined CBS Miami in August 2026 from sister station CBS News Sacramento, where he served as sports director. Before Sacramento, Jake made stops at KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and KOSA-TV in Midland-Odessa, Texas.
Whether he's on the field, in the press box or in the studio, Jake brings the same energy and dedication to every sporting event he covers. From covering two Super Bowls to chronicling the Sacramento Kings' return to the playoffs, Jake loves telling stories about local athletes and the communities they represent.
A graduate of Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Jake is a Connecticut native who has been recognized throughout his career for his work in sports broadcasting. He was named the Colorado Broadcasters Association's Sportscaster of the Year and has received several Texas Associated Press awards, including honors for Best Sports Anchor and Best Sportscast.
When he's not covering sports, Jake is an avid skier who loves spending time on or near the water. He's also always on the hunt for new local restaurants and bakeries and considers himself a pizza and chocolate chip cookie connoisseur.
