Man pleads not guilty to leading pursuit after carjacking Huntington Beach police car

The blaze, which firefighters dubbed the Fig Fire as it burned near the intersection of Fig Street and Hoover Avenue off the I-215 Freeway, was first reported at around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Murrieta Fire & Rescue firefighters.

Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of Brechtel Street and Grand Avenue at around 3 p.m. after learning of the blaze, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Police say that the man convinced the 15-year-old victim that he worked for a childcare business before he drove her to a parking lot and assaulted her.
