Deadly shooting in Boyle Heights under investigation

The shooting happened at around 3:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Wabash Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The blaze was first reported a little before 1 p.m. and by 2:30 p.m. crews had stopped the forward progress.
Police say that the suspect, 34-year-old Guillermo Penaloza, ran from the scene of the violent crash that killed a man and left a woman in critical condition on Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department investigators say that the crash happened on Friday afternoon near W. 63rd Street and Avenue.
