Firefighters gain upper hand on 400-acre Sierra fire burning near buildings in Fontana

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to a hospital in critical condition after a shooting at a party in the 100 block of E. 35th Street, according to LAPD investigators.

Police say the crash happened near the transition road between the northbound 5 Freeway and eastbound 10 Freeway at around 12:45 a.m.
The shooting happened at around 7:30 p.m. near the 800 block of W. Seventh Street, according to Los Angeles Police Department officers.
Four people were injured after an alleged drunk driver behind the wheel of a Toyota Prius slammed into a 7-Eleven in Arcadia late Friday evening.
One of the victims suffered a non-life-threatening stab wound, while another sustained a possible broken ankle during a fight near the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday.
The fire was reported at around 12:30 p.m. and quickly grew to engulf 300 acres as of 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, firefighters said.
Firefighters had to extricate two victims after their cars overturned in the violent crash.
The crash happened at around 7 a.m. on Feb. 2 as the 14-year-old boy rode down Ursula Avenue.
