Authorities investigating after Long Beach shooting leaves driver dead

A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash involved two vehicles, one of which caught on fire in the aftermath, the LAFD said.
The father, Hector Lionel Alfaro, allegedly killed his wife and daughter before dying by suicide on Tuesday.
The victim, who remains unidentified as of Saturday morning, was found in the 4700 block of Whittier Boulevard.
Authorities didn't immediately identify the deceased individuals.
Locals with billing postal codes in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura counties are eligible for a presale draw.
The incident took place on the 600 block of Landfair Avenue, according to campus police.
CBS LA issued a Next Traffic Alert after the crash, as officials urged commuters to use alternate routes to avoid the scene.
Audrey Illeene Carroll, 30 of South Los Angeles, and Zachary Aaron Page, 32 of Torrance, were charged with three terrorism-related felonies.
The pursuit started sometime before 8:45 a.m.
The driver who hit the officer was not related to the pursuit, and the suspect was later taken into custody.
The National Weather Service said between .25 and 1 inch of rainfall was expected in most inland communities, with 2 or less inches predicted for the mountains.
Juan Sarat Lopez, 37, and Bayron Pedro Ramos Garcia, 36, likely fell from the Devil's Backbone Trail on the same day they were found, authorities said.
Peak intensity was predicted between noon and 7 p.m. Saturday in Southern California.
