Hurricane Harvey continues to weaken with winds down to 80 mph. However, the slow storm is still crawling over the state of Texas which could mean up to 40 inches of rainfall for some areas. Megan Glaros reports.
Damage where Harvey makes landfall
Damage is still being assessed Saturday morning from Hurricane Harvey and several areas now look like disaster zones. Late Friday night, President Trump tweeted that he signed a disaster proclamation, freeing up federal assistance for the state of Texas. Wind gusts over 160 mph and flooding rains slammed the towns along the water and it's not expected to let up for days. David Begnaud reports.

Harvey prompts evacuations
Thirty feet of rain is expected in parts of Texas in the coming days as Hurricane Harvey hits the coastline. Officials have ordered a mandatory evacuation of Port Aransas and other cities along the coast. CBS News national correspondent Manuel Bojorquez joins CBSN from Victoria, Texas with more on the Category 4 storm.

Storm surges of up to 12 feet are expected in some places, with up to 40 inches of rain possible as the hurricane stalls. Winds have reached 125 miles per hour, and the National Weather Service says parts of Texas may be uninhabitable for weeks or months. On Friday, people were fleeing the central Texas Coast ahead of the storm. David Begnaud reports.
