Within hours of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Sean Penn spoke with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for an interview shown in Penn's new documentary, "Superpower." Penn joined CBS News to discuss the film and the war.
Sean Penn joins "CBS Mornings" to discuss his new documentary "Superpower" about the war in Ukraine. Penn, who was with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the bunker of the presidential palace on the evening of Russia's invasion, describes how the president changed that day. "It felt like he was born for this," Penn said.
The Paramount+ Original documentary "Superpower" tells the story of how Sean Penn heads to Ukraine to learn more about the comedic actor turned president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Stream the new documentary on Monday, Sept. 18, exclusively on Paramount+.
