Two former Mississippi deputies were sentenced Tuesday for breaking into a home without a warrant and torturing two Black men inside. Hunter Elward was sentenced to nearly 20 years, while Jeffrey Middleton was given 17.5 years behind bars. Errol Barnett reports.

Sentencing began Tuesday for six White former Mississippi sheriff deputies who tortured two Black men last year after a complaint from a neighbor that the men were living with a White woman. The sheriff deputies assaulted the men with stun guns, sex toys and liquids before forcing them to shower together. One of the sheriff deputies then shot one of the victims in the mouth in a mock execution and planted evidence in an attempt to cover up the crimes.
