President Barack Obama met with Pope Francis for nearly an hour at the Vatican, where their conversation focused on the global responsibility to care for the poor, as well as immigration reform. The two leaders did not, however, discuss Obamacare's requirement that employee-sponsored health care plans cover contraception. Scott Pelley reports from Rome.

House to take up immigration reform

House Democrats are preparing to vote on two immigration reform bills that would help create a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants. It comes as the Biden administration struggles to accommodate a surge of migrant children at the border. Molly O'Toole, Los Angeles Times immigration and security reporter, joins CBSN's "Red & Blue" anchor Elaine Quijano with details on what the legislation would do, and how the U.S. asylum process has changed over the years.

Biden says he has no plans to visit border

Amid a growing crisis at the southern border, CBS News confirmed 7,300 unaccompanied migrant children were transferred into a network of shelters run by the U.S. refugee agency last month. CBS News correspondent Mireya Villarreal spent time with law enforcement officers witnessing the crisis and spoke with children and adults who said they had no choice but to come. CBS News White House reporter Bo Erickson joined CBSN to discuss the latest from the Biden administration.

How can surge in migrant kids be addressed?

A growing crisis is unfolding at the U.S.-Mexico border as many of those crossing into the U.S. are young children. CBS News confirmed 7,300 unaccompanied migrant children were transferred into a network of shelters run by the U.S. refugee agency last month, a record for February.
