Trump ramps up social media attacks on Harris

Former President Donald Trump is talking to voters in Wisconsin and Michigan Thursday, with his campaign still facing criticism for an incident at Arlington National Cemetery earlier in the week. Trump has also escalated his rhetoric on social media, posting some crude remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris' political career on his Truth Social platform. What to know about reindictment against Trump

Special counsel Jack Smith filed a reworked superseding indictment against former President Donald Trump on Tuesday in which he again accused Trump of resisting the peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 presidential election. The new indictment comes after the Supreme Court's landmark presidential immunity decision earlier this year. Trump has repeatedly denied all wrongdoing and Tuesday night he again accused the special counsel of their own election interference. CBS News Justice Department reporter Robert Legare has more.

Iran's campaign hacking efforts: What we know

U.S. intelligence agencies said this week that Iran was responsible for hacking into former President Donald Trump's White House campaign. Iran denies the allegations, but in a joint statement, top intel agencies say Iran's efforts to interfere with the upcoming election go beyond just the Trump campaign.
