The first day of the Senate impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump ended with a vote to affirm the constitutionality of the process. White House ends infrastructure talks with GOP

After ending infrastructure negotiations with Republicans on Tuesday, the White House encouraged a bipartisan group of senators to continue their work on an alternative proposal. Sanders-backed candidates losing?

As November's midterm elections draw closer, some are wondering if Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders can help progressive candidates claim victory. Candidates backed by "Our Revolution," a political action organization spun out of Sanders' presidential campaign, have won 20 congressional or gubernatorial primaries so far in 2018, and lost 27.
