Wesley Brownlee, 43, was arrested over the weekend in connection to the case.
Investigators are now saying that Chicago's "Duck Walk Killer" is not connected to the Stockton serial killer case.
Both of the cases date back to 2021, authorities say.
Authorities have added two more victims to the list of five people linked to a possible serial killer in Stockton, bringing the total to seven. Stockton police have announced they have a person of interest, but detectives still aren't sure if more than one person is responsible.
That is one of five unsolved deadly shootings in the past month with victims alone and found either on a sidewalk or in a vehicle.
