More than a dozen kayakers were rescued from the water after being stranded along the Batsto River in the Wharton State Forest on Saturday.
Over a hundred kayakers are on a long journey on the Schuylkill River Sojourn. The group started in Schuylkill Haven last Saturday. Organizers are working hard to try to keep the paddlers safe.
One kayaker had a particularly close-up view in an encounter that was captured by a drone.
