Two Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus drivers were recently attacked on the job.
Traffic enforcement will be stepped up with increased patrols and driver checkpoints, all in an effort to discourage drunk, high or any impaired driving.
The incident happened at around 7 p.m. on Monday.
A good deed ended with a stabbing at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. A man was injured while trying to help a group of young women who were being harassed.
Ryan Naso told CBS2 in an exclusive interview that he pulled over after his pickup truck was side-swiped. The other driver stopped, too, but Naso says he blamed him for the accident.
Police said the suspects told the woman they need help feeding their children, who were also with them.
It happened on Jan. 16 inside a recording studio on Van Duzer Street in the Grymes Hill section of the borough.
It happened Sunday at 11 p.m. at Continental Place near the Big Park in Mariners Harbor.
Police say there was a dispute in the hallway and pepper spray was released.
Police said the officers suffered minor injuries, and the driver stayed on the scene.
According to police, four suspects were able to get inside the home's garage using a garage door opener that was inside an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.
The Department of Buildings issued a full vacate order for the people who live there.
