The four-time All-Star won AL Cy Young Awards with Minnesota in 2004 and 2006. He pitched the only no-hitter in Mets history and is 139-78 lifetime with a 3.20 ERA.
The 29-year-old agreed last month to an $8 million, one-year contract. He is eligible for free agency after the World Series.
It wasn't that Noah Syndergaard had a bad year in 2014. It's just that he expected to be wearing a big-league uniform with "Mets" emblazoned across the front at some point last year. That never happened.
