New York Attorney General Letitia James has been an outspoken supporter of the right to have an abortion, and as CBS2's John Dias explains, she is now taking action to expand access.
"Every person in this nation should have the freedom to control their own body and their own health care, and this fundamental right is implicit in our constitution, and that right should not be abridged and or denied," James said.
It comes as demonstrations continue across the country over the possible decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. CBS2's Natalie Duddridge has the latest.
James says immediate relief is needed and argues it would reduce stress and mental fatigue.
