3/3 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

Sun will mix with more clouds this afternoon, but we'll still manage to get into the upper 30s before the day is out. By late evening, we may see some flurries or even some light snow across our southwest counties, but the bulk of the snow should hold off until after midnight in the city.

Areas of light snow will be present during the commute with the focus shifting south and east the remainder of the morning through the early afternoon. When all is said and done, a trace - 2" is expecting... best chance of seeing any 2" reports would be south and east of the city.

Your Saturday doesn't look too bad... partly sunny with highs in the low 40s. Some precipitation will try to move in that night and linger into the morning hours of Sunday in the form of snow and rain. It's not looking like a big event, but certainly worth mentioning.

As for early-to-mid next week, it looks like we've got a big warm up on the way: from the 50s to nearly 70 degrees.
