Sweater worn by Princess Diana sells for record $1.1 million at auction
NEW YORK -- A royal sweater set a world record at auction Thursday.
Sotheby's auctioned off a black sheep sweater that Princess Diana wore in 1981 to one of Prince Charles' polo matches while they were engaged.
The winning bid was $1.1 million.
That's an auction record for any Princess Diana clothing item.
